All attempts in It Follows were based on real encounters I had in real life. Most of them were changed to serve the story better and fit the curse's rules, but I tried to keep them as close to reality as possible. For example, attempt #17, which I believe was the rape, happened in real life up to the point where the trans individual got mad at me for trying to use a condom. In the story MC then proceeds to rape her, in real life I just fucked her without a condom and without any aggression, a normal hookup. She did in fact have amazing blowjob skills and I did in fact never go back there because I don't like interacting with drug users and she lied on that front.

#1 was also real, we did in fact have three encounters that were pretty much the same as described in the story, and then the texting spiral and the final encounter at the park were made up. In real life we parted ways normally, I also asked him what his smell was, because I actually got a bit addicted to it, and he said it was MOSCHINO's Toy Boy. I bought it a while after we last saw each other and it was in fact the smell, although it's the base notes that linger after a while, it's actually somewhat hard to smell it on yourself because you get used to it and the initial flowery scent is not the right one at all. It's better to spray it all over a jacket or some other piece of clothing, wait for one to two days for the initial flowery scent to go away and then you can smell the base notes which is what #1 smelled like all over. I've actually asked Claude to make me a list of other perfumes that have just the base notes without the initial flowery scent but I haven't gotten around to buying all the ones he listed to find the actual chemical ingredient that corresponds to it. But it is a pretty good smell and multiple people have commented on it when I have it on me.

I wouldn't say it's a masculine scent, though. I'm not sure if it's inherently coded as feminine (I'm not some high level knower of smells), but I guess it doesn't matter. You know, one thing that bothers me is how many women and bottom men want someone coded as a real man, in Brazil that ends up being someone who likes soccer, for instance. A real man, a macho man, a man who has all the right traits of masculinity and is read by the feminine as the right match. I am not that man, I don't want to be that man, but I think there's a classification error that the feminine population makes. What is a man? A man is he who acts in the world, who uses his physical prowess, his dexterity, his intelligence, his cunning, to affect the world around him and shape it to his will. What the feminine from this society wants is not a man, but a man who will bow to pussy. Is the man funny? Can he make her laugh? Can he say the right things without scaring her too much? Can he provide? Etc, etc. They do not want a man who acts according to his own iron will, but one who is bendable to the will of pussy.

They want a man who likes soccer. What is soccer but watching other men act? It is literally the same as watching another man fuck your wife. Watching soccer, buying football club shirts, being a fan, these are all inherently feminine activities, and the feminine spirit of this country has coded this as a real man because it selects for bendable men. I am never going to like soccer, I am never going to worship pussy, I am going to use #1's slightly feminine smell on me.
