Phylactery on Steam: pass 2
App 2278770 · after your answers from the gym · 15 Oct 2026
Still invisible. Checked from outside, logged out: store.steampowered.com/app/2278770 still redirects to the Steam front page and the store API answers "success: false". steamcmd reports the app as owners-only and unavailable. Nothing was sent to Valve: no store review, no pricing, no build review, no Coming Soon, no release.
Done this pass
Developer and publisher: a327ex
Both rows now say a327ex. I left them unlinked from your creator homepage: it isn't needed for the checklist, and unlinked is the surest way to keep the game off that page. Followers question: Valve's docs say followers are emailed only when a game releases (or enters/leaves Early Access), and a linked game shows on the homepage only once its store page is Coming Soon. Neither will happen here.
Genre and tags
Action (primary) + Indie. Tag wizard published with 12 tags, in Steam's suggested order: Bullet Heaven, Arcade, 3D, Third Person, Action, Pixel Graphics, Dark Fantasy, Atmospheric, Psychological, Singleplayer, Indie, Short.
Descriptions (test text)
A 259-character short description and a four-paragraph About This Game, the last line saying it is test text for a release rehearsal. Nothing about the ending.
Release date: Oct 29, not 17
Steam's picker only allows weekdays at least two weeks from today. 17 Oct is a Saturday and two days away; the earliest allowed was Thursday 29 Oct, so that's what is set.

Content survey, published
Frequent violence or gore (violent, gore), blood, killing, gory deaths; "bleak and dark settings"; no drugs, no nudity. AI: yes, the code and every visual it builds were written with an AI coding assistant, sounds are from commercial libraries, nothing is generated while you play. Steam generated ratings: Brazil 16, Germany 18. All of it shows only on the store page, which nobody can see.
Your two clicks, done
Published the Steamworks settings (name, install folder, Phylactery.exe, depot, icons) and set build 25967681 live on the default branch. Phylactery is now in your Steam library to install and play; only accounts with the developer package can see it.
One extra fix
The build checklist wanted "common redistributables": the exe needs none (the C runtime is built in), so I ticked that and published again.
Cleanup
The stray description image is deleted. Two Chrome windows of mine may still be open on your desktop: the Placement Tool popup from pass 1, and possibly an image opened by a mis-click on "Open in a new window". Close them when you are back.
steamcmd login out of git
Rewrote the private steam-release repo's history without steamcmd/ and the SDK, and force-pushed it. A local backup bundle of the old history stays on the Desktop machine only. The token itself is unchanged; logging steamcmd in again would replace it, which needs your password.
What's left
- The images
Your call: they need more work. Every capsule, the library art and the screenshots are still the placeholders. - Pricing, trailer
The only build-checklist items left. Pricing's Save sends the price to Valve, and there is no trailer, so both stay open. - Try it from Steam
Install Phylactery from your library and launch it: the real Steam path (appid from the client, the overlay with Shift+Tab, no console window). It plays as a player's copy: no testing keys or sound tool, and it ends on the egg.
